Though I do not like going to any dentist my visit was overall relaxing and relatively pain free.

It may be hard to believe but I LOVE visiting my Dentist. EVERYONE is so welcoming and professional. DR Chapkis is truly a great person in addition to a super dentist. All of the hygienist are very kind and of course all coordinated by Leanne!

My husband and I recently moved to Florida. We were referred to Dentistry of Orlando on Avalon by friends who have lived here in Orlando for many years. As a registered nurse who works long hours in procedures and has a tight schedule due to being on call, it is very challenging to make the time to care for my own health. I called and made an appointment to establish care with Dr. Chapkis. At first, I was told I could wait to see him after my cleaning. Then, I was told he was too busy to see me, but I could see someone else. Finally, I just made the decision to leave when I was told I would be seen by Dr. Chapkis at my next visit (so, maybe in six months???), a statement not guaranteed, because if he has higher-paying customers, like those needing crowns, your first visit and cleaning are not a priority. I want everyone to understand that your time matters and you, as an individual, matter even more. No one can force you to see a doctor or dentist you did not choose. Imagine if I told my patients on the day of the procedure that their surgeon would be someone else and that was their only choice? I am my patients' greatest advocate, and you always have a choice. When you are made to feel like your time doesn't matter or you don't matter, do what is right for you. Tomorrow, I will get up at 5 a.m. to serve my patients, and I pray that I never make a single one of these lives I serve feel like their care is not my top priority.

Dr Chapkis is the best dentist I have had, very caring and knowledgeable. He has gone above and beyond many times. He saved a couple of front bottom teeth a few years ago that I have been very thankful for. The staff is also great—very polite and caring. Thank you for great service!

October 2025 and I still believe Dr Chapkis is the best and his staff also! Thank you for all you have done in the past and my upcoming visit.

Last visit was January, 2026. Everyone in office is fantastic and always works to get me best treatment plan and price. Dr Chapkis’s rates have always been reasonable, so am thankful for that. He is a great dentists and his assistants are the best.

April, 2026. Another great visit to Dr Chapkis’s office in Avalon Park. Everyone is so friendly and competent, from office staff to hygienist, to Dr Chapkis. They always do such a great job from giving me best treatment to dealing with insurance issues. I am very thankful that I found Dr Chapkis!

More extensive work done in May 2026–4 crowns and redoing 2 front veneers to match side crowns. Amazing job by Dr Chapkis and assistants, plus front desk. I have temporaries for now and can’t wait to get new permanent crowns for a new smile. Thank you for being patient with me and for your excellent work!

I would rate this visit a three. I was dissatisfied with the handling of my case mainly because I typically require significant numbing medication, this is not unusual for me based on past dental visits. However, when I experienced pain the Doctor expressed his frustration and told me he had already given me enough in that. If it wasn’t enough, I would need to reschedule. Then proceeded to leave the Room for about 30 minutes while he worked on other patients while the numbing medication took affect.
I suspect I may eventually need a root canal, which is not the doctor’s fault. However , It was disheartening to be repeatedly told that my pain might be psychological and attributed to anxiety, despite having no history of anxiety issues. As a registered nurse, I am well-versed in the principle that a patient’s pain is their perception, not the practitioner’s. After the medication has some time to settle in I was fine. Felt a little bit of pain here and there, but it was nothing that I couldn’t deal with.
On this occasion, I was there from 10 AM to 1 PM and left feeling that my care was not a priority. While I understand the office was busy and short-staffed, which is common in the medical field, it was concerning to feel like just another number. I was not the only patient expressing dissatisfaction with the wait time that day.
I was happy with the staff, at least trying their best to make the most of the situation, but I I feel like communication could’ve been better regarding the time.
Despite this, I am willing to give the office another chance, as my previous visits have generally been positive and overall everything actually turned out great, and my crown was fitted perfectly. This was solely my experience during this visit.

Update: my crown just fell off brushing my teeth (sat 2/21 7pm ) 🙁 not happy at all this is scary . No I didn’t chew any sticky I had soup and have been babying my mouth since Friday :(. Not ok

Update: The team was very responsive and was able to get me in quickly and replaced my crown. Which felt even better when placed this second time .Pleased with the offices service recovery . Thankful it worked out !!

I love my dentist and all who come with it. The staff is amazing. Lots of love to Dr..Marc. I found his office 8 years ago upon relocating. I've not seen another dentist since.

I want to give lots of love to the front office staff. Accommodating my busy schedule and cancelations had been a dream. Liza, Karen,.....AWESOMENESS work...can't say enough about how easy you make it to visit the dentist.

Massive love to my dental technician Nory. She has great skills and super steady hands. I was falling asleep in the chair yesterday. Her style of cleaning is exemplary.

If you need a dentist, you bet your bottom dollar this office will be your last stop in the search. You'll find them at 5724 Hansel Ave. (2nd office at 425 Avalon Park Rd)

Dr. Marc...keep those ladies happy my friend, because they are doing a wonderful job.

Love this office. The Dr's, assistants, office staff very professional and works to get your needs met. We have been going here for years. We in East Orlando Waterford Lakes when we started going here. Seven years ago moved to St. Cloud and continue to drive to Avalon for my dental care. Please if you need a dental office this is the place to go.

I was seen right on time! The professional staff made me feel comfortable. Dr. Chapkis is very thorough and professional. He is very patient and explains every step of my treatment. He is consistently excellent for both routine check-ups and procedures. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
